Cotswold Outdoor / The Knowledge
Project Brief
Now in its 4th series, the successful 'Knowledge Videos' for Cotswold Outdoor expanded in 2010 to include four short films about camping. Back in 2007 we suggested, to outdoor retailer Cotswold Outdoor, an idea to create a series of presenter-led outdoor advice films for their website. Films that would help their customers make, decisions about outdoor clothing and equipment, as well as give tips and inspire them to get into the outdoors. Helping a customer choose the right pair of walking boots, the right climbing rope or offering advice on safety in the hills can be a difficult task outside of the retail environment; using video is a perfect way to impart this expertise. In December 2007 the first chapter of ‘The Knowledge’ videos was launched on Cotswold Outdoor’s website, presented by Paul Deegan. The films proved to be so successful with Cotswold’s customers that a second series was commissioned just three months later.
What we did
Snowline are responsible for the entire production for this exciting project from script writing through to post-production. To view more Knowledge films, we've put some on our Vimeo channel or visit the Cotswold Outdoor website.
I have been to a few shoots in my previous life as an account director in London web agencies, but I was absolutely blown away at the level Snowline was striving to get to.
